At 29, I was a college drop-off, jumping through precarious and low-paid jobs as a programmer.
Given my lack of formal higher education, I thought that was the best I could aspire to.
My skills were not valued at the time in the Italian market.
Then, one day, I accepted an interview for a Web company from Scandinavia that was aiming to launch a website in Italy. I had minimal expectations.
Surprisingly, they valued my skills, and the international environment opened my eyes to an entirely new reality. I applied for a position in our French subsidiary one year after joining the company. I wanted to leave the country and spoke a bit of French.
The CEO of the French subsidiary showed great trust in me and quickly promoted me to Engineering Manager to lead the development team, though I had no prior experience leading people.
I spent 15 years in the company, working in 5 different countries and moving up to VP at the corporate level, overseeing over 400 software engineers in 10 different countries.
After that experience, I moved on to a couple of roles as CTO / VP of Engineering for scale-up companies before becoming a solopreneur and offering my services to a broader set of clients.
Today, I want to help fellow Engineering Leaders achieve their full potential!
With my services, I aim to help 100 companies and 1000 individuals achieve their full potential with Tech and Engineering Leadership.
